LOS ILLEGALS: Auditions May 27, 2008 ASU Fine Arts Center room FAC 131
Teatro Bravo will audition for its September 2008 production of “Los Illegals” on May 27, 6-10pm (callbacks on May 28) at FAC 131 at Arizona State University, corner of 10th Street/Mill on the ASU campus, in the Fine Arts Center.

The production will rehearse in early August, and will open in early September at Phoenix College’s John Paul Theater.

The play tells the story of a California working center where workers gather around to seek day labor. An incident that gets a worker arrested and the center shut down leads to a protest that reverberates in the community around it, including the resistance of anti-immigration advocates. A timely play about contemporary issues.

Various roles include:

all sorts of accents )
Kim, Korean-American woman, lawyer, 20s-40s
Nathan, American lawyer, 20s-50s
George, American hardware store supervisor, 20s-50s
Juan, English-speaking Mexican, security guard, stocky or muscular, or at least intimidating
