Frida Kahlo

By Rubén Amavizca-Murúa
Directed by Israel Jimenez
English translation by Liane Schirmer and Eve Muller

Based on the life of acclaimed Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo, this vivid theatrical experience tells the story of the pain and passion of one of the most original women to have ever lived. From her complex relationship with prominent painter Diego Rivera, to her controversial affair with Leon Trotsky, to her provocative romantic entanglements with women, Frida Kahlo lived a bold and uncompromising life as a political, artistic, and sexual revolutionary.
